Dr. Larry Busby

October 21, 1939 - April 2, 2011
Ames, Iowa

Dr. Larry Evan Busby passed away on April 2, 2011. A private memorial was held.

He was born in Fonda, Iowa on October 21, 1939 to Lillian (Sargeant) and Charles Busby. Larry taught science and physical education in Palos Heights, Illinois. He was also a very successful track and field coach winning many state and national titles for the school. Upon retirement from teaching, he was self-employed. Larry enjoyed his cabin and friends at Woman Lake in Minnesota.

He is survived by two brothers, Ken (Barb) Busby of Huxley and Tom (Deb) of Abilene, Texas. He is also survived by his niece Kym (Barry) Broer of Slater and nephew Bryce (Shannon) Busby of Grimes as well as great- niece/nephews Mitchell, Lauryn, Reese, Landon and Ryker.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father.
