BORN: July 19, 1926

DIED: July 12, 2011

LOCATION: Ames, Iowa

Lidia Elizabeth (Arrazate) Bran, 84, of Ames went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Israel Family Hospice House after a battle with cancer. Celebration of Life / Memorial Service will be on Tuesday, July 19 at 6:30 pm at Heartland Baptist Church in Ames, IA.

Lidia was born July 19, 1926 in Santa Ana, El Salvador, Central America to Alberto and Maria A. (Dardon) Arrazate. She retired in 1990 as head baker in food services at Iowa State University. Lidia enjoyed gardening, traveling, cooking, baking, and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include her children Lili Maddox, AL, Dario Bran Jr., CA, Mary McCormick (Mike), CA, Ruth Bran (Milt Hughes) CA, and Sam Bran (Mary), IA; nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren; sister M. Elisa Arrazate; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and seven brothers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Israel Family Hospice House or Heartland Baptist Church.
