Idanell Strong

BORN: April 19, 1916

DIED: July 13, 2011

LOCATION: Gilbert, Iowa

Idanell Strong, 95, of Gilbert, died Wednesday July 13 at Bethany Manor. Visitation is 4-5 p.m. Friday, July 15 at Adams Funeral Home.

Idanell was born In Maynard, Arkansas April 19, 1916 to William and Anna (Weaver) Jarrett. She graduated from Pocahontas High School. She worked as a model, foster parent, nurses aid, and homemaker. Idanell lived in Ames, Des Moines, Pocahontas, Arkansas, Mayfield, Kentucky, and St. Louis, Missouri. She was a member of the Baptist Church, active in Girl Scouts and a den mother for Cub Scouts. She loved children.

Her survivors include her two sons, Robert Reller(Michelle) of Waynesville, Missouri, and Clyde Strong, Jr. (Joyce) of Gilbert; and daughter-in-law, Rose Reller of Denton, Texas; 14 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and 11 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Vernon and Lafate; sister, Alma; husbands, Walter Reller and Clyde Strong, Sr.; son, Henry George Reller; and daughter, Diane DiFonzo.
