The mother of J. Stevens* of Dalton died at his residence Friday at the advanced age of 93 years. She has long been a resident of this county and was well known for her many good qualities and her many friends there are sorry to know that the end has at last come.

*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: This should be Z. Stephens as Susan's son was Zimri Stephens. In the 1900 census, he is listed in Nevada Twp., Story County, Iowa as Z. Stephens with his 91 year old mother, Susan Stephens.
