He is survived by three sons, Herbert of McAllen, Texas; Luke, of St. Joseph, Mich.; and Cyrus of Ackley; five daughters, Mrs. Cecil (Elvina) Rhodes of Marshalltown; Mrs. George (Irene) Slamal of Roland; Mrs. Elvin (Florence) Jacques of Marshalltown; Mrs. Faye (Mirmette) Rankin of Orangevale, Calif.; and Mrs. Jack (Lola May) Montgomery of Citrus Heights, Calif.; one half-brother, Conrad Fagerland of Roland; 18 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at the Bergen Lutheran Church on Monday, August 26, with Rev. Howard M. Lybeck in charge. Soderstrum Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Orris J. Osheim sang two solos, "Jesus Savior Pilot Me" and "I Know That My Redeemer Lives", accompanied by Mrs. Otto Hanson at the organ.

Mr. and Mrs. Fay Rankin of Orangeville, Calif. were unable to be here for the services, but had visited Mrs. Rankin's father in July. Also unable to attend was Mrs. Herbert Bakka of McAllen, Texas.
