Iowa Center Items.

Mortuary.--One by one the old land marks are passing away, and the places that have so long known them, will know them no more forever. It is but a few days since we recorded the death of W. C. Carr, an old citizen, and to-day we reluctantly mention the death of Uncle Thomas Hall, who gently sank to rest at his home a few miles south of Iowa Center on last Saturday, and was buried in the Brubaker cemetery on Sabbath at 2 o'clock, P. M. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Long of Iowa Center. The procession was the largest ever known in this vicinity, showing plainly the fact, that Mr. Hall was one of our most respected citizens, and an exemplary christian. "Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord, for they rest from their labors and their works to follow them."
