From Story County Watchman October 27, 1905

Mrs. H. Yeager received the sad intelligence Sunday morning of the death of her father at Waumandee, Wisconsin. Upon receiving the word, Mr. Yeager drove across from Colfax, where he had been for some over a week for his health, and he and Mrs. Yeager left Monday morning for Waumandee. Mr. Yeager has been making some improvement since he has been at the springs and thinks he will get around again alright by remaining there for sometime. He expects to return to Colfax as soon as he gets back from Wisconsin.
