Alexander Ayers was born in Wabash county, Indiana, July 26, 1842 and died in Story county, Iowa July 27, 1905, aged, sixty-three years and one day. When a young man he moved from Indiana to Wisconsin. he was married October 13, 1862 to Rachel A. Meyers, to this union eight children were born, seven boys and one girl. Mr. Ayers moved to Story county in 1870 where he has since resided.
