Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Mead, living south of town, mourn the loss of their 2 1/2 year-old son. The little fellow had not been feeling well for a week or more, but he was not thought to have been sick. Sunday night, however, he was taken much worse. About 3 o'clock a. m. Monday Dr. Knepper was summoned by telephone,. He responded, but was met by one of the family about half way and informed that his services would not be needed as the boy had just died. Funeral services were held at the home Tuesday, Rev. C. R. Burton conducting them.
