AMES DEPARTMENT OF THE WATCHMAN

Charlotte L. Dary was born at Middlefield, Otsego Co., New York, July 12, 1846. She was of a family of nine children. Her father, mother, two sisters and two brothers have preceded her to a better land; her oldest brother lying in an unknown grave having given his life in defense of his flag and country. She was married to Charles P. Queal Oct. 15, 1870 at Hartwick, New York. The folling spring she moved with her husband at Ames Iowa where on a farm three miles northwest she spent twelve years. The rest of her life was spent in Ames until her demise at 6:25 Sept. 3 1904. She was the mother of seven children, four daughters and three sons, the daughter and youngest son having gone before and are waiting to meet her. She leaves to mourn her loss a husband, three daughters, two sons, three grandsons, three sisters and one brother also many other relatives and friends.
