From Story County Watchman October 2, 1903

Obituary.

Mr. Michael Henrehan passed quietly away at his home in the north part of this city at 4:15 o'clock Wednesday morning, being in his 80th year. His death was the result of old age. He was born in the county or Wexford, Ireland, in the year 1823; came with his wife to this county from Illinois in 1878, they being among the early settlers of Story county, and has since resided here, where he has made many friends who will always remember him as an upright and honest man, a good friend, and always the same. He leaves two daughters, Mrs. Sam. Flater and Miss Mamie Henrehan, and one son, Tom, who together with his mother and other relatives are left to mourn his loss. The funeral was hald from St. Patrick's church Friday morning and the remains laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery.

The family extend their heartfelt thanks to the kind neighbors and friends who so generously assisted them during the illness and death of the husband and father.
