From Story County Watchman August 7, 1903

Roy Wood of Marshalltown died of typhoid fever Monday, August 3, after a week's illness. He was buried Tuesday, in Collins. The funeral services will be held later when his wife is able to attend. Mr. Wood is a son-in-law of Mr. Dan Keef* of this city.

*SUMITTER'S NOTE: Leroy E. "Roy" Wood married Etta M. Wood 4 September 1901 in Iowa Center, Story County, Iowa. Etta Wood was the daughter of Timothy Keef and Julia Alice "Alice" Seal (not Daniel Keef as stated.)
