DIED--On Saturday morning, Mrs. Mary C. Ray, wife of John Ray, at their residence in Maxwell, age 50 years. Mary C. McCord was born in Louisa county, Iowa, and came to Story county with her father, C. P. McCord, when about one year old, and has resided here ever since. She married John Ray whom she leaves with six children to mourn the loss of a wife and mother. The funeral took place at the church in Iowa Center, the sermon being by Rev. Bobbett, of Maxwell.
