Mrs. John Pekin died at their residence yesterday afternoon afer a short illness with pneumonia. The funeral will be held at the Catholic church Saturday at 10:00 o'clock a. m. Obituary will appear next week.

MRS. JOHN PEKIN.

Mrs. John Pekin died at her home in this city on Thursday afternoon, April 23, 1903, after a short illness of two weeks with pneumonia.

Mis Margaret Comeford was born in Ireland and when a girl of twenty came to this country and settled in Rhode Island; later moved to Illinois where in 1870 she was married to John Pekin. Shortly after being married Mr. and Mrs. Pekin moved to Story county and for twenty years resided on a farm near Colo and since that time have been honored and respected citizens of Nevada.

She leaves a husband, sister and many friends who will greatly mourn a good womans loss.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Father Nichols in St. Patrick's church last Saturday morning at ten o'clock.
