Cambridge Dispatch: ....Died at his home in Des Moines February 25, 1900, William Chandler aged 70 years. Wm. Chandler was born in Foxcroft, Maine, in 1830 where he lived with his parents, Josiah and Catherine Chandler until 1853 when he came to Illinois and was married to Phoebe Mason in 1854 and a year after moved to Iowa and settled in the south west part of Story county two and one half miled south of Cambridge, where he lived until 1888, when he moved to Des Moines.
