Dr. A. S. Aplin died at his residence in Cambridge on Monday afternoon from cancer of the stomach. He has been a resident of this county many years and was one of the leading medical pratitioners of Story county, and as such his being called away is a bad thing for our people and community in which he lived generally. The funeral was held Wednesday and the remains laid to rest tenderly under the direction of the Masonic order and the Knights of Pythias of which organization he was an active member. Had the day been at all favorable the attendance would have been largely increased particularly from a distance.
