From Story County Watchman July 14, 1899

Collins Clipper: ....Simeon Bell, uncle of Mrs. J. M. Hall*, dropped dead at his door yard, last Friday evening. Deceased was an old settler in Iowa, having come to this state in 1867. The funeral was held at the Dunkard church; south of Maxwell.

*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: "Mrs. J. M. Hall" is Mary Jane Bell who married James M. Hall. She is the daughter of Henry Bell and Margaret (Graybeal) Bell. Henry Bell and Simeon Bell were brothers, sons of Reason Bell and Mary Sarah (Darnell) Bell.
