Collins Clipper: ....Abraham Strickler was born in Fayette county, Pa., March 28, 1812, died at Collins, Iowa, June 13, 1890, aged 80 years, 2 months and 16 days.

Maxwell Tribune: ....Abraham Strickler of Collins died Tuesday evening of paralysis, having suffered from the stroke since June 5th.
