Maxwell.

Mrs. S. Shoop, who died at the home of her son, Jerry, in Maxwell on the morning of the 29th of Dec. was buried, 30th, at 11 a. m. The funeral was held in Iowa Center, her old home, and in the presence of a large congregation of her old friends. The music was furnished by the choir of the C. P. church of this place, and the sermon was preached by Rev. R. A. Ferguson. Mrs. Shoop was past 80 years and had been very feeble for some years past. She was a most excellent woman. Her death was not unexpected. Her aged companion, Jacob S. Shoop survives her.
