DIED.--Tuesday morning at her home in this city Mrs. Clara Ann Ray, aged about 75 years, wife of Judiah Ray. Her maiden name was Clara Ann Belcher, and she was born in Tazewell county, Va. Her parents moved to Indiana and setled in Marion county where she was married to Mr. Ray in 1845. In 1852 they moved to Indian Creek township near Iowa Center and where they remained until 1884 when they moved to Nevada, where they have since resided. She was a member of the Evangelical church having joined it by letter from the Baptist, and always led a consistent and upright christian life. The funeral was held yesterday at Iowa Center under the direction of Rev. Force of the Evangelical church assisted by other clergy of the county. The remains were interred in the family grounds at that place to await the last call. She was the mother of eleven children of which seven are now living and in this county: Archibald, John, Samuel, and Judiah near their old home in the vicinity of Iowa Center and Mrs. George Halley, of Nevada and Mrs. Kurtz, of Colo. The others died several years ago.
