From Story County Watchman May 29, 1896

Mr. and Mrs. D. M. Grove* returned Saturday night from Carroll county, where they had been called by the fatal illness of the latter's father, Mr. Levi Beanell.* He died Wednesday and was buried Friday. He was 75 years of age, had lived in Iowa about thirty years, and leaves on son and six daughters.--Rep.

*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Ora Beadell, daughter of Levi and Polly (Sweet) Beadell, married Daniel M. Grove January 28, 1877 in Carrollton, Carroll County, Iowa. Some census record also spell the name "Bedell."
