Obituary.
George Raimer was born in Butler county, Pa., May 10, 1834. Was married to Adalene Stratton Nov. 9, 1854, at Bluffington, Ohio. Nine children; one son died some years ago. Two daughters in Nebraska, and two in Montana. The other children in this county. The family came to Iowa a number of years ago, and settled in Story County. For two years past Mr. R. has been in poor health, and confined at his home with dropsy. He died at his home, three miles north west of Nevada, Jan. 11, 1896. For seven years he had been a faithful and consistent member of the Cumberland Presbyterian church in the Mullen Settlement. The funeral was held at the Summit Chapel on Sabbath and was conducted by Rev. R. A. Furguson, of Maxwell. The house was filled to overflowing. The choir sang well selected pieces. All sympathize with the bereaved family in the loss of a good man.
