The father of the Boardman Bros., of this city, Ex-Senator Norman Boardman, of Lyons, died on the 20th ult., on his 81st birthday. He held the position of state attorney, of Vermont from 1850 to 1852. He has lived in Lyons since 1875. He was once a state senator for Iowa, was Director in the citizens National Bank of Lyons and the First National bank of Dewitt, a heavy real estate operator and the founder in 1854 of Osage, Mitchell county, Io.
