The death angel has visited the family of William Broadbent claiming for its victims, himself and his beloved wife, the latter died on Sunday March 6th, and was buried on Monday, funeral services conducted by Elder Thompson at Boone, the former died on Sunday March 13, and was buried Monday, funeral conducted by W. H. Zenor, of Ontario, the deceased have both been suffering from the effects of lagrippe which finally terminated in lung fever, neither of them being confined to bed but one week. They leave one daughter, one sone, and an aged mother and one brother to mourn their loss the bereaved have the sympathy of their friends in this their hour of affliction.

Home is not home, for Mother and Father are not there,
Dark is their room, empty their chair,
Now will they rest from their labor and care,
Till that morning so fair.

Sleep Mother and Father sleep, with your hands on your breast,
Poor, weary hands they needed their rest,
Well have we loved thee, but God loved you best,
Tis' thy God giveth thee rest.

Last week we gave the obituary of Mrs. Broadbent who died near Ontario the week before. Just one week later on Sunday morning her husband Wm. Broadbent followed her to the better land, being stricken by the grippe with some complications. Mr. Broadbent was a native of England and came to this country many years ago, and lived in this part of the county very many years. His age was about 70 years. He was a man of integrity and stood high in the esteem of his friends and neighbors.
