Maxwell Tribune: Died at her home two miles south west of Maxwell, Monday, Nov. 26th, Mrs. Phillip Chaffin, after an illness of several weeks.

The death of Mrs. Phil Chaffin noted last week was peculiarly sad as she left a large family of small children mostly little girls, who will sadly feel the want of a mothers care and kindliness, though their neighbors are taking a kindly interest in them. Some of them met this week and assisted Mr. Chaffin to gather his corn, the ladies sewing and making things comfortable about the house.
