DIED.--In Des Moines, Ia., Aug. 20th 1886, Elizabeth Kahly. It has been but a few years since Mrs. Kahley was one of our neighbors and while she has passed to the unseen world, we are glad to say she was one of the best and purest women it has been our pleasure to meet and her christian life leads us to believe she is happier now. Mrs. Kahly was the daughter of D. B. Wenrick of this place. She was married to Henry Kahly in 1867 embracing christianity in 1878 and died in the faith with hopes of an eternal life in the life to come. Language fails us to express the good qualities of Mrs. Kahly, but we will say she always had a love for natures works. House plants and flowers were always her delight and while earth loses one of its brightest flowers heaven gains one more. Mrs. Kahly was born Jan. 23rd 1841 and was followed to Woodland cemetry on Sunday, August 22, 1885, where she was laid to her last rest. Mr. Kahly has the sympathy of his numerous friends in this neighborhood.
