DIED.--On Saturday morning after a brief illness, E. W. Clark, editor of the Monitor, aged about 30 years.

Mr. Clark moved to this county last summer, starting the Monitor, which he has conducted up to this time. So far as our acquaintance had been with him, he was courteous and agreeable, a true gentleman, and one that, had he been spared ought to have made his mark in local circles. He leaves a young wife and the business established by him. To her the sympathy of the entire community is extended. We understand that the Monitor will be conducted by Mrs. C. until some more definite arrangements can be made.
