DIED.--On Friday last, at the residence of Mr. Ed. Elliott, in Richland township, of lung disease, John Elliott, aged 16 years. Only a few short weeks ago, Mr. Elliott was called upon to part with his wife, and now comes another stroke of ill fortune. All extend their sympathy to the family in this their hour of affliction.

CORRECTION.--In the notice of the death of John Elliott, of Richland, an error was made in a portion of the edition, in stating that Mr. Elliott had also recently lost his wife. The fact is, it was the wife of his brother that recently died, and not Mrs. Ed. Elliott. Such mistakes are very annoying to all parties, particularly to the paper making it, and the only thing that can be done is by making a proper correction. It is the wish of all that many long years may roll around ere such a record may be chronicled for either him or his estimable lady.
