THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Friday, October 8, 2010.

Jessie Josephine Huff, 93, of Nevada, died Thursday, Oct. 7, 2010, at Story County Long Term Care in Nevada. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 11, in Cambridge Cemetery in Cambridge.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 10, at Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada.

Jessie was born Oct. 17, 1916, at Iowa Center, the daughter of Wilford Andrew and Edna Fay (Fry) Dunahoo. She graduated from Shipley High School in 1935. She married Doyle Huff Oct. 17, 1935, in Nevada. Doyle preceded Jessie in death in 1984. Jessie had been a cook and had worked at the Story County Hospital, Woolworth’s, Oslund Drug and ISU’s Friley Hall. She was a member of the former E.U.B. Church in Nevada.

Jessie is survived by her son, Richard C. (Elizabeth) Huff, of Nevada; three granddaughters, Kathy (Dave) Otto, Patricia Rierson and Anita Huff; two great-grandsons, Jacob and Kaleb Rierson; several nieces and nephews; and brother-in-law, Delbert Lowe.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Doyle; a son, Arlo; two brothers, Charles Dunahoo and John Dunahoo; and two sisters, Ilene Lowe and Eva Pearl Dunahoo in infancy.

Bacon Funeral Home and Crematory in Nevada is handling services.
