THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Friday, October 8, 2010.

Terrance Wayne Oostenbrug, of Bremerton, Wash., passed away Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010, of ALS. His memorial service will be Monday, Oct. 11, in Bremerton.

Terry grew up in Sanborn. He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Drake University in 1972 and graduated from the University of Puget Sound Law School in 1980. His entire law career was spent in the Seattle area. His other passion was fishing and he taught it to underprivileged youth.

He is survived by three children, Ted, Ben and Olyvia, all of Seattle. Also surviving is his mother, Mary Oostenbrug, of Sheldon; and sisters, Mary Beth Oostenbrug (Larry Cormicle), of Ames, and Pam Raymond, of Adel. He also had many nieces and nephews.

Terry was preceded in death by his father, Chuck Oostenbrug; his sister, Glenda Verbrugge; and his nephew, Tim Longman.
