ANKENY — Evelyn (Fortney) Peterson, 89, passed away on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at Mercy Hospice - Johnston.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband Paul, and her brother Mervin Fortney. Those left to cherish her memory include her brother Roger (Ruth) Fortney of Richardson, Texas; her five children; Paula (Gene) Martin of Lehigh, Gary (Nancy) Peterson of Slater, Greg (Connie) Peterson of Polk City, Dana (David Lamb) Peterson of Des Moines, and Jan (Terry) McGee of Urbandale; six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
