March 10, 1922Fernald Man Died Very Suddenly
Charles Boelk dropped dead at his home this morning.
Charles F Boelk, age 61 years, a well known retired farmer of Richland Township, died very suddenly this morning about 3:00, at his home in Fernald, from heart trouble, from which he had been subject to occasional spells.
Mr. Boelk had been in his usual health until yesterday, when he was taken with severe pains in his heart while out at the farm. He went to his home and Dr. F.H. Connor of this city was called out to attend him. Dr. Connor gave him some relief and he was apparently getting along very nicely.
During the night, however, he was taken ill and got up and walked the floor for a time. Suddenly he dropped over and the family at once called Dr. Connor again. Neighbors who heard the call over the phone went to their assistance and Mr. Boelk, who was lying upon the floor was removed to his bed and it is thought we dead at that time. When Dr. arrived he found that Mr. Boelk was dead and probably had been so since he fell to the floor.
Mr. Boelk had lived in the neighborhood for many years and was a highly respected citizen. He leaves his wife, one son and six daughters.
No arrangements have been made for the funeral as yet.
