Father of Ames Woman Is Killed

Alva Hutson of State Center, who was killed in an auto crash near Marshalltown Tuesday, was the father of Mrs. Dick VanPelt, 901 Clark avenue.

The crash also took the life of Dr. Howard L. Beye, chief of the surgery staff of the University hospital at Iowa City, and seriously injured Dr. J. A. Edwards of the state tubercular sanitarium at Oakdale and Dr. William Spear of the Oakdale staff.

Funeral services for Mr. Hutson were held Thursday at 2 p. m., at State Center.
