THE NEVADA JOURNAL, Nevada, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, June 24, 2010.

Clinton Gene Davis, 75 of Nevada, died on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames. Funeral mass was held on Sunday, June 20 at the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 1110 11th Street in Nevada with Father Rick Dagit officiating. Burial followed in the St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery.

Clint was born on September 29, 1934 in Naper, Nebraska to Harvey Ansley and Pauline Alvina (Zeinter) Davis. He graduated from Naper High School and attended Southern State Teachers College in vocational training for automotive mechanics. Clint served in the U.S. Marines for 3 years. While in the service, he was trained as a construction equipment mechanic. On April 8, 1958, he married Josephine Ann Noziska in Atkinson, NE. Clint worked for Westinghouse Air Brake Company and retired from 3M in Ames as a supervisor. He loved to read old western books and collected over 3,000. His favorite author was Louis L’Amour. He was a member of the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Elks and Moose Lodge.

Clint is survived by his wife, Jo; a son, Rodney C. Davis and children Trevor and Tarah; 2 daughters, Victoria (Tim) Barker and children Sydney and Ryanne and LuAnn (Mike) Jamison and children Abby, John and Chad, all of Nevada.

Clint was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters, Janice Allpress and Janet Higgins.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Clint’s name.

Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada was entrusted with the care of Clint and his family.
