Betty Eller, 87, of Nevada, passed away on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames. Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 19 at Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames with Reverend Katherine Werner officiating. Burial was in Ames Municipal Cemetery.

Betty Eller was born June 22, 1922 in Worth County to Walter and Mabel Berhow. She graduated from Ames High School in 1941. She married Frederick (Fritz) Eller on May 13, 1944.

They raised their family on a farm north of Ames where she loved gardening and flowers. She was exceptionally skilled in sewing, needlework, and a variety of crafts. She was a fantastic ironer.

She is survived by two sons, Bruce (Mary) Eller of Ames and Jim (Sheila) Eller of Story City; one daughter, Becky (Randy) Pohl of Nevada; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one sister, Frances Romsey; and two brothers, Richard and Jim Berhow.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Husband; and a son, Fred.
