THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Friday, June 4, 2010.

Guy Greenough, 46, of Slater, died Thursday, June 3, 2010, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, June 7, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Slater, with Pastor Nancy Phoenix Reed officiating. Private family burial will be at Veteran’s Cemetery in Van Meter.

Visitation will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. Monday, June 7, at the church.

Guy Greenough was born July 19, 1963, in Sioux City, to Roger and Arlene (Jensen) Greenough. He served in the Army from 1983 to 1986, having several overseas duties in the military. Guy worked as an installer for heating and air conditioning, and he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Survivors include his parents, Roger and Arlene Greenough, of Slater; sisters, Leslie Stephens, of Norwalk, and Linda Gardner, of West Des Moines; brothers, Rich (Michelle), of Granger, and Quentin (fiancee Lori), of Grimes; seven nieces; six nephews; and a host of aunts, uncles, family and friends.

His grandparents preceded him in death.

Memorials may be directed to the Alliance for the Mentally Ill.

Soderstrum-Riis Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.
