Hill on January 3, 1911, being 85 years, one month and 29 days old when she passed to her reward. She had been poorly during the fall, but was not seriously ill until about ten days before her death, when she was taken sick with an attack of pneumonia, which disease her body was too frail to withstand.

Twenty years ago, she came to this country with her husband, lived part of the time at Story City and part of the time southeast of this place. Eleven years ago, her husband died and since that time she has made her home with her children at Story City and near this place.

She is survived by six children they being Lars Hill of Story City; Mrs. Madella Walker, of Norway, Europe,; Hactor Hill, of Story City,; Mrs. Sara Olson, of Marshalltown; Knudt J. and Jacob J. Hill, of near this place. All the children living in this country were present at the funeral. Besides her children, she leaves numerous other relatives to mourn her death.

The funeral was held from Salem church last Thursday forenoon, Rev. J. N. Sandven officiating after which interment took place in the Story City cemetery, Rev. G. O. Paulsrud conducting the services at the grave. The sorrowing families are extended the sympathy of their numerous friends in the hour of their bereavement.
