Double Funeral is Held From Salem Church Last Thursday afternoon When Two Ladies Are Laid to Final Resting Place
Mrs. Inger Fosen
Mrs. Inger Fosen was born in Norway, Europe, December 4, 1831, and died at her home three miles north of town on Monday, February 28, 1910, being 78 years, 2 months and 24 days old, when called to her rest. When a young lady, she came to this country, having lived here since. She was married to Christian Fosen and together they lived on the old Fosen farm until death parted them less than a year ago, when Mr. Fosen died at a very advanced age. Mrs. Fosen has since been rather poorly and her decline has been steady, until death relieved her as before stated on February 28th. She leaves only a son, H. J. Amenson of this place, and sister, Mrs. T. J. Klungstvedt, of Thompson, of immediate relatives in this country to mourn her death, but she had numerous friends and neighbors, who mourn her departure.
The funeral was held on Thursday afternoon from Salem church, Rev. J. N. Sandven officiating, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Roland cemetery beside her husband. The many friends of the bereaved son and other relatives extend to them their sincere sympathy in the hour of sorrow.
