The Nevada Representative, Nevada, Story County, Iowa, November 17, 1880.

A Sudden Death

On Saturday afternoon of last week, Mr. J. B. York of New Albany township, eastern part, was taken suddenly ill, went to bed about six o'clock in the afternoon and died at 11:45 at night. A coroner's inquest was held over the remains by Coroner Boggess, on Sunday afternoon, resulting in the verdict that he came to his death from a fatty degeneration of the heart and failure of that organ to perform its functions, caused by excessive drinking. The jurors at the inquest were Peter Dolan, Dr. John I. Hostetter and H. S. Vansice.
