(Beverly) Jean Gildersleeve passed away Friday, April 23, 2010, 11 days after her 80th birthday. Services will be at 2 p.m., Monday, April 26, at Gilbert Lutheran Church.

Jean was born April 12, 1930, in Omaha, Neb., daughter of William and Carol Stone. She married Dana Dareled Sachau Dec. 21, 1947. Six years later, their daughter, Kathy Sue, was born. Following Dana’s death, Jean married Lloyd B. Gildersleeve, who already had three daughters of his own: Marla, Becky and Sherry. To that blended family, they added three more children, John, Carol and Julie.

Jean is survived by five daughters; Becky (Don) Berglund, Kathy (Greg) Vander Hamm, Sherry (Dave) Lohman, Carol Gildersleeve, and Julie (Brian) Porter; 17 grandchildren; 29 greatgrandchildren; two sisters; Donna (Glenn) Rundlett, and Joann (Melvin) Hurd; two sisters-in-law, Ruth (Les) Shickell, and Millie (Delbert) Rice.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her mother- and father in-law, John and Bessie Gildersleeve; her first husband, Dana Sachau; her second husband, Lloyd Gildersleeve; one daughter, Marla Liquin; and one son, John Gildersleeve.
