Christian Hanson Fosen died at his home north of town Monday evening and was buried from Salem Church at 11 o'clock today. A full obituary will appear in next week's issue of the Record.

Christian Fosen, Oldest Resident in This Vicinity Laid to Rest Last Thursday in Roland Cemetery
Christian Hanson Fosen was born in Norway, Europe, May 19, 1819 and died at his home north of town on Tuesday, February 2, 1909, being 89 years, 8 months and 14 days old at the time of his death. He had been quite well considering his advanced years, until lately, and he was in bed only a few days, and he passed away without any suffering.
The deceased had been married three times, his first two wives having died some years ago. He leaves a wife, a son, B. C. Hanson, of Jewell, and a stepson, H. J. Amenson, to mourn his death, besides many friends and neighbors.
He came to this country 51 years ago and soon settled on a farm three miles north of town, which was still his home when he died. He was among the early settlers of the southern part of Hamilton County and helped to build up the country to its present state.
The funeral took place last Thursday from Salem church, of which he was an active member, Rev. Sandven officiating, after which interment took place in the Roland cemetery. The sorrowing ones are extended he sympathy of numerous friends and neighbors.
