Cornelius Halvorson was born in Norway, Europe, November 14, 1831, and died at the Martin Erickson home north of McCallsburg February 5, 1909, being 77 years, 2 months and 22 days at the time of his death. The deceased was not very well known to many here although he has been here upon several occasions. Funeral services were held from the Erickson home after which the remains were taken to Calamus, where interment took place.
