Mamie, Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Twedt, Dies After Only a Few Days Sickness, Funeral Held Monday

Only a little more than a week ago, Mamie, the second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Twedt, was attending school apparently as healthy and happy as any of her many schoolmates, but now she is no more. She was taken suddenly sick with spinal meningitis a week ago last Saturday night and gradually grew worse until Saturday evening when the Death Angel called her to her heavenly home.

Mamie Secilia was born March 23, 1900, and was 8 years, 10 months and 20 days old at the time of her death. She was a very lovable little girl and was a favorite with her schoolmates, who will long miss her in the schoolroom and n the playground.

The funeral was held from the residence at two o'clock Monday after which interment took place in the Roland cemetery, Rev. G. Smedal officiating. No services were held at the church on account of the nature of the sickness, the laws of the state forbidding a public funeral, when death occurs from this sickness. The sorrowing parents, brothers and sisters have the sincere sympathy of numerous friends in the hour of their bereavement.
