The Nevada Representative, Nevada, Story County, Iowa, Wednesday, December 18, 1878.

DIED. - Just as we go to press the bell is tolling for the death of Mrs. Richard Child. She has been sick for a long time, we think since July last. Her loss, though not unexpected, will nevertheless be severely felt by here husband and family by whom she was dearly loved and respected.

The Nevada Representative, Nevada, Story County, Iowa, Wednesday, December 25, 1878.

Died.

In this city, December 18th Mrs. Adaline Child, aged 62 years.

She was a daughter of Mr. Reubin Smith of New Hampshire, in which state she was born in September 1816. She was married to Mr. Child in 1839 and resided with him in that state till 1868, when they moved with their family to Nevada and have resided here ever since.

She was the mother of nine children, six of whom are still living, all residents of Iowa save one, Mrs. J. P. Wilson who resides in Carlton, Dickinson county, Kansas.

She had been sick for nearly a year, confined to the bed since July last, and had been a great sufferer during her illness, all of which she bore with true christian spirit and fortitude.

For the watchful care and kindness bestowed by neighbors and friends during her illness, the family desire to return their sincere thanks and best wishes.
