SOLBRACK DIED LAST WEEK
A. J. Solbrack, formerly of Roland, died Saturday at the Old Peoples Home in Story City following several months illness.
A funeral was held Tuesday afternoon. A short service was held at the chapel at the home, and the body was brought here where a service was held in Salem church, Rev. Olaf Holen officiating. A. C. Molstre, superintendent of the home at Story City, also spoke. Pall bearers were J. J. Hill, B. A. Rasmusson, W. W. Quam, W. T. Wierson, T. Hegland and E. H. Mathison. Interment was made in the Roland cemetery.
Andrew J. Solbrack was born at Saude, Ryfylke, Norway, on October 14, 1859, and died at Story City on Saturday, February 6, 1932, at the age of 72 years, 3 months and 20 days.
He came to America at the age of 18 years and lived in and around Roland most of the time, until October, 1930, when he entered the home at Story City to spend his last years.
He was united in marriage to Tillie Nelson on March 16, 1994. To this union four children were born, one of whom died in infancy.
He is survived by three sons, John of Des Moines, Bailes of Roland, and Reinert of Maxwell. His wife preceded him in death on May 4, 1929.
