FORMER RESIDENT DIED

Relatives at Story City received word Monday morning of the death of Mrs. A. E. Hines of Dexter, Minn. The funeral will be held in Dexter tomorrow.

Mrs. Hines, whose maiden name was Christina Roe, was born on the old Roe homestead 3 1/2 miles southeast of Roland and grew to womanhood here. She taught in the schools in this vicinity and after her marriage to Mr. Hines moved to Minnesota.

She is survived by her husband and five children, Mrs. Wade Crane of Ojibwa, Wis., Mrs. Myron Green of South Bend, Ind., Irving Hines in Illinois, Mrs. Nina Burkhard and Sidney Hines. A son, George, died some years ago. She is also survived by two sisters, Miss Anna Roe and Mrs. O. M. Olson of Story City. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ole S. Roe,a sister, Mrs. Johanna Hanson, and three brothers, Lars, Sam and Ole O. Roe, have precededhere in death.
