THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, September 17, 1981.

Lola Barr, 72, Cooper City, Fla., former Ames resident, died Tuesday, Sept. 15, at Hollywood, Fla. Services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, from St. Cecilia Catholic Church with the Rev. James Supple officiating. Burial will be in the Ames Municipal Cemetery.

Lola Buttry was born June 24, 1909, In Urbana, Ill., to William and Emma (Addison) Buttry. She came to, Collins from Urbana In 1913. In 1931 she was I married to Charles Barr in Ames. They lived in Ames until they moved to Florida In 1961.

Survivors Include her husband, Charles; three brothers, Carl, Ames, Roy, Nevada, and Russell, Anneheim, Calif.; and two sisters, Beulah Van Scoy and Ruby Christian, both of Ames.

Visitation will be 3-9 p.m. Friday at Stevens Memorial Chapel. The rosary will be held at 8 p.m.
