THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Wednesday, January 20, 2010.
Maxine Clouser, 92, of Gilbert, died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010, at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 22, at Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, at Grace Bible Church in Gilbert. Burial will follow in Gilbert Cemetery.
Maxine (Brown) Clouser was born July 7, 1917, in Centerville. She married Ernest Clouser Feb. 6, 1938, at Christian Church in Centerville. She was an active member of Grace Bible Church and a community volunteer for many years.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 72 years, Ernest Clouser, of Gilbert; three daughters, Judith (Jim) Vanderpool, of Guthrie Center, Sara (Norris) Broussard, of Marshalltown, and Susan (Joe) Bulman, of Ames; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Minnie Brown; one daughter, Barbara House; one grandson, Thomas Bauge; two sisters; and two brothers.
