THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Friday, November 13, 2009.
Deborah Ann Accola, 49, of Nevada, died Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 16, at Memorial Lutheran Church in Nevada. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15, at Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada.
Deborah was born Nov. 26, 1959, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of George and Betty (Rasmus) Accola. She lived in Ankeny, Des Moines, and moved to Nevada in 2000. She was employed at Krysilis in Nevada.
Deborah’s family thanks Krysilis for the love and care she received over the past years.
She participated in the Special Olympics, attended camp during the summer, loved to talk and tease people, loved food and good times with friends and family, and enjoyed WWE. Deborah was full of life and loved her pet dog, Georgie.
Deborah is survived by her sister-in-law, Linda (David) Jandik, of Cedar Rapids; a niece, Robin (Matt) Shaver, of Cedar Rapids; a great-niece, Raelynn Shaver, of Cedar Rapids; and two great-nephews, Joe Slaton, of Iowa City, and Cameron Shaver, of Cedar Rapids.
Preceding her in death were her parents and a brother, Stanley in 1973.
Bacon Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
