Betty J. Boston, 80, passed away Monday, October 19, 2009 at Bright Kavanagh House in Des Moines.

Visitation will be held Friday, October 23, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Fredregill Funeral Home in Zearing, IA. Her funeral service will be at the Presbyterian Church in McCallsburg on Saturday, October 24, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in the Warren Township Cemetery In McCallsburg immediately following the funeral service.

Betty was born November 11, 1928 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin to August C. and Marion (Burns) Kaiser. On May 23, 1953, she married Marvin Boston at Stillwater, Minnesota. She moved to Zearing, IA in 1953, to McCallsburg in 1976, and to Nevada in 1995. She worked at Sunstrand in Ames from 1971 o 1981 as a production scheduler. Following her retirement, she was a homemaker and housewife. She was a member of the McCallsburg American Legion Auxiliary Post #334, the McCallsburg Presbyterian Church, and the Foster Grandparent program through the Nevada School System.

Betty is survived by - 1 son, John Boston of Nevada, IA; 2 daughters - Sue (Dave) Allen of Des Moines, IA and Barb (Scott) Matrin of Ankeny, IA; 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Eugene Kaiser of Eau Claire, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Marvin in 1983; 1 son Ed Bauer in 1993; and her stepmother, Mrs. Gladys Kaiser.

Fredregill Funeral Home in Zearing, IA is in charge of the arrangements.
